Terms of Service

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This is a starting template covering how OVIP's site, purchases, and submissions actually work today. Have an attorney review it before relying on it — in particular the refund and cancellation terms in Section 4, which should reflect the exact policy you want to enforce.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using ourvoicesinprint.com, purchasing the magazine, registering for a workshop or event, or submitting your work to us, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. What We Offer

Our Voices In Print Publishing Company ("OVIP," "we," "us") publishes a monthly magazine, hosts workshops and events (including the Love Is a Landmine series), maintains a member community, and offers publishing services to help women tell and share their stories.

3. Accounts

Some areas of our site (such as the member CRM) require a login. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for anything that happens under your account.

4. Purchases, Subscriptions & Cancellations

Magazine issues and subscriptions are purchased through Stripe. Prices are listed at checkout in U.S. dollars. Digital issue purchases and digital subscription charges are generally final once delivered, except where required otherwise by law. Print orders can be corrected or canceled by contacting us before they ship. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; you can cancel by emailing info@ourvoicesinprint.com before the next renewal date.

Workshop and event registrations, including events run through our GoHighLevel platform, follow the specific refund and cancellation policy stated on that event's registration page. If no policy is stated, contact us and we'll work with you directly.

5. Submitting Your Work

When you submit a story, article, or manuscript through our submission form, you confirm it's your own original work and that you have the right to share it with us. You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting, you give OVIP permission to review your work and, if selected, to edit, format, and publish it in the magazine or related OVIP channels, with credit to you as the author. Submitting your work doesn't guarantee publication.

6. Our Community

Our member community is hosted on a third-party platform (GoHighLevel) and has its own community guidelines in addition to these Terms. We may remove content or restrict access for anyone who violates those guidelines or engages in harassment, hate speech, or other harmful conduct.

7. Intellectual Property

All OVIP branding, magazine content (other than work published under Section 5), and site design belong to Our Voices In Print Publishing Company and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Our site, magazine, workshops, and community are provided "as is." While we do our best to provide accurate information and a valuable experience, we don't guarantee specific results from attending a workshop, joining the community, or reading the magazine. To the fullest extent allowed by law, OVIP isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of our site or services.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
